This is why adult children often discover they have married their neglectful mother or impossible-to-please father in the form of a spouse. We call this generational trauma and repetition compulsion, but rarely understand that this is an example of quantum law playing out through what is stored at the level of the subconscious.

The ego needs problems to fix; otherwise, it has no purpose. When early conditioning causes a child to feel separate from those they love, this results in a separation from themselves and, ultimately, from the Divine within.

The Quantum Truth: You Are Not Separate

The perception a child forms of the self, unless transcended along their life path, defines their reality through intention, belief, decisions, and repetitive inner dialogue.
